ABSTRACT
We have provided a book which will enable designers of instruction to carry out an analysis of the context into which the instruction will be introduced. We have considered a range of contexts including the conditions, facilities, the people and the organization. We have called all these collectively the environment. The analysis of the whole is what we have called the environmental analysis. We have provided some ideas for the collection and utilization of environmental data for instructional design.
