ABSTRACT
The purpose of this and the next chapter in this theme is to help you familiarise yourself with the GNVQ core skill units at levels 1, 2 and 3. Even though you may have been asked to teach only one of the units (or none!) it is still worth while getting an overview of the core skill requirements that your students have to achieve. Indeed you may find that as a result you realise you have an important contribution to make to the teaching of core skills.
