‘If something isn't done about Nicola Philips, I'll strangle her in this afternoon's lesson.’ Janice Lee, an NQT, has arrived in the deputy head's office in a state of extreme distress. The emotion she felt is one that many of you will have experienced at some time in your first years as a teacher.
