ABSTRACT
If a collaborative partnership is to be entered into and to succeed institutions require an understanding of what is to be undertaken. This chapter aims to facilitate such an understanding by stimulating discussion through examples. It focuses on three key areas related to collaboration:
Why do schools and HEIs need to collaborate?
What should the nature of collaboration be?
What are the likely pitfalls in a collaborative approach?
