ABSTRACT

Despite the fact that teleworking has been recognized as a potentially useful flexible work tool by almost everyone, in many companies it is still, surprisingly, stuck in the starting blocks or confined to the slow lane. In reality, few corporations have really got teleworking up and running at full speed on the fast track. The reasons for this are as myriad as the possible applications for telework, but in most cases they come down to an inability for individual managers or an entire senior management group to think outside the present organizational system.
