ABSTRACT

Contracts are agreements made between two or more parties, which are legally enforceable. To ensure that contracts reflect the intention of all parties concerned, it is important that the contract is drawn up very carefully and that all parties are satisfied with the contents. A breach of contract by one of the parties can be expensive if the party who has breached the contract is required to pay damages to the other party to the contract. Following a quality procedure from the inception of the contract can help to prevent any misunderstandings later on and can help to promote good business relationships between contracting parties. For the fundamental requirements of a quality management assurance system see contract review 4.3.2 of BS EN ISO 9001.
