ABSTRACT

Corinne Martin is a clinical herbalist and teacher based in Portland, Maine, and has been working with plants for more than twenty years. She feels particularly drawn to the use of plants in relation to ecological concerns (i.e., ways to connect people to the land), social justice issues, and a sacred practice of creation spirituality. Corinne has written one book and numerous articles on the topics of herbs and health care. She has also worked with homeless people in a medicinal herb garden project for many years. Corinne holds a master of arts in ethnobotany and sustainable communities as well as a master of divinity degree. She is currently an instructor of holistic health at the University of Southern Maine’s College of Nursing and Health Professions.
