ABSTRACT

The first Hindu periodicals in America were issued by the Vedanta Society. Since 1965, as the Hindu community has expanded, a number of periodicals have appeared, several of outstanding print quality, such as Back to Godhead and Clarion Call. Unlike the Buddhist periodicals which struggle with a number of languages spoken by their communities, Hindus have adapted quite quickly to English. Listed below are those currently being published, their address, and the name of their sponsoring organization.
