ABSTRACT

The distribution of the neutral group on S. G. Baek's scale seem consistent with the distribution of the entire sample on the original scale of modes of acculturation to US national culture. Canonical correlation was employed to assess the relationships between the acculturation patterns that Muslims report using to adjust to the US national culture and those they report using to adapt to US organizational cultures. The distribution of the neutral group on Baek's scale seem consistent with the distribution of the entire sample on the original scale of modes of acculturation to US national culture. The chi-square analysis indicates that there is a significant relationship between the respondents' preferred modes of acculturation to US organizational cultures and their preferred modes to US national culture. To summarize, acceptance of US national culture and retention of the original national culture are important in discriminating the four modes of acculturation to US organizational cultures.
