ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will turn to other significant dimensions of the occupational socialization of beginning teachers. Our exploration will focus on the perspectives on teaching developed by beginning teachers, including their thoughts on the transition from college to elementary school and their approaches to problems in teaching, col legial relationships, and relationships with parents and the community.
