ABSTRACT
Small changes in barom etric pressure occur as p a rt o f the natural phenom ena associated w ith changing w ea th er system s. T hese changes are n o t significantly sensed by hum ans n o r do they have any observable effect on hum an wellbeing. G ross changes can occur, how ever, w ith m ajor and po ten tia lly hazardous effect, on ascent to h igh altitude o r descent underw ater. These changes can also be sim ulated in specially designed pressure cham bers.
