Industrial tox ico logy can be considered as the study o f those chemicals used in the w o rk place w hich have a toxic, poisonous, or deleterious effect on the body . T he defin ition can be en larged to include those dusts and particulates w hich, w hile perhaps no t tox ic w ith in a strict definition, can also be harm ful. Industrial toxicology is a com plex and broad based subject w hich canno t be stud ied in d ep th here.
