ABSTRACT
Baptist Gardens (BG) is a 13-story “retirement residence” containing 200 one-bedroom apartments plus spaces for social and recreational activities. It was designed for low-income persons 62 years of age and older who are able to live independently. The facility was built in 1975 under the HUD Section 236 Program. It is owned and operated by a non-profit, charitable corporation, sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Long Beach.
