ABSTRACT
F rom the stone, wood and bone clubs of prehistoric man to the foil, epee and sabre of the modem fencer, one can trace a series of changes in the evolution of the sword. It is not the purpose of this book, however, to trace meticulously the detailed pedigree of the sword. Such information would prove of little use to the actor.
