ABSTRACT
An artist's self-evaluation is a continuous process since virtually every work decision depends upon a qualitative judgement rather than a logical response. Theatre designers, like all visual artists, must rely upon their eye to judge the internal quality of their work. But evaluation of a designer's contribution to a production poses a sequence of many interrelated questions.
