ABSTRACT

Don't be afraid to play with the voice. Step outside the narrow tracks of your ordinary voice use as a regular part of your training. Until you have experimented a lot you don't know the capabilities of your voice. You can risk sounding like an idiot if you are practising privately and, unless you have a job on hand, you can even risk a little strain in the cause of finding out. In any case, if you keep your basic good use you won't hurt yourself beyond quick repair. If you find something hurts or tires you too quickly, you should have the tools of analysis to find out how and why you went wrong and you can make the necessary corrections the next time.
