ABSTRACT
Emilia is the wife of Iago (an aide to Othello) and lady-in-waiting (and confidante) to Desdemona, wife of Othello. She is a sharp-tongued, worldly-wise woman who sticks by Iago in spite of his insults. He even accuses her of sleeping with Othello.
