ABSTRACT

The author talks to the actor in his own language, not in order to philosophize about art but rather to open up for him in simple form the ways of a psycho-technique which is a practical necessity to him; this he must have above all in the inner realm of the artistic and emotional realization of a role as well as in his physical incarnation of it. He defined their creative feelings in verbal terms. These are valuable in that they are close to a beginner's comprehension. Do not look for any scholarly or scientific derivations. People do use, to be sure, certain scientific terms too, as for example the subconscious, intuition, but we take them in their everyday, simplest connotation and not in any philosophical sense. It is not our fault that scholars have neglected the field of theatre art that we have not been provided with terms for our practical work.
