ABSTRACT

The subject of roofing can, and does, fill volumes. Outside the world of scenery construction, there exists a huge variety of roof structures involving many materials. Sets tend to reproduce facsimiles of genuine roofs, rather than faithful copies, so there is little point in learning the finer details of roof construction. However, the construction draughtsman may well benefit from a book that illustrates traditional roofing methods (as with any architectural matter, designers will research the subject to suit their design, as and when they need to).
