ABSTRACT
In addition to being a theorist, a conceptualizer, and a scientist, John Carroll is also a linguist. As he suggests in his “Author’s Introduction” one of his interests for some time has been the psychology of language. It is not surprising, therefore, that the papers in this section address instruction from a linguistic, or more appropriately, a psycholinguistic perspective.
