ABSTRACT

On a personal basis, much information given to patients is insufficient to make informed choices, and much information is incorrect. Not everyone has the will, the resources, the energy, or the guts to do extensive medical research in cancer causes and treatment options. But the least we must do is to ask questions, demand answers, and consider options. We can and must educate ourselves and the public at large about the known hazards from radioactive and chemical pollution. We cannot outspend nor out-PR the polluting opposition, but we can, one by one, each of us, act and vote at the polls and vote with our pocket books. We can starve the opposition when we find their actions and products unacceptable. We can refuse to buy the products from corporations that pollute and harm. We can raise our voices, singly and as a chorus of outraged citizens, and make nonstop protestations against immoral polluting activities.
