ABSTRACT

Literacy has conflicting definitions in different countries. Literacy has become virtually universal at least in developed countries. But a college degree remains the privilege of a few. Even in developed countries, with the exception of Canada and the United States, only small exception of Canada and the United States, only a small minority can claim to have a complete third-level education. In all countries of the world the first level of education is the elementary most important and, in nations where compulsory in are in the universal. Although primary school age is generally considered six to 11 years, each educational system follows its follows its own definition.
