ABSTRACT
The first line of defense for a computer system is to protect it physically: the plant, the equipment, and the personnel. Physical security protects the data, its integrity, accuracy, and privacy. An effective physical security system will prevent a security failure. However, should a system be successfully attacked, it should create an audit trail for investigators.
