ABSTRACT

Cammerer was a worthy successor of the able and indefatigable Mather and Albright. He had entered the National Park Service as Assistant Director in 1919, succeeding Albright who at that time went to Yellowstone as Superintendent; and when Albright succeeded Mather in January 1929, Cammerer became Associate Director. So he had long experience in the Park Service, and his record was impeccable.
