ABSTRACT

The Inclusion Coordinator in their mentoring role should:

be purposeful, inclusive and values-driven;

embrace the inclusive and distinctive school context;

promote an active view of learning;

be instructionally focused;

spread their good practice throughout the school;

build capacity by developing the school as a learning community;

be strategically driven and futures-oriented;

be developed through innovative and experiential methods;

be supported by a coherent and fully understood inclusion policy.
