ABSTRACT
Special educational needs (SEN) are governed by legislation, notably the Code of Practice (DfES 2001). There are three principal areas with which you must comply:
Familiarity with the Code of Practice and individual education plans (IEPs).
Taking account of children who are not fluent in speaking English.
Identifying and responding to very able pupils.
