ABSTRACT
The DfES induction circular set in place the requirements for what NQTs should be able to do by the end of the induction year. These are twofold. To complete the induction period satisfactorily the DfES regulations require a NQT to:
meet all the Induction Standards; and
continue to meet the Standards for the Award of QTS; consistently and with increasing professional competence.
