ABSTRACT
Social and communication skills are developed mainly during play periods but children with ASD may miss out because many of them find playtimes difficult. They may not know where they can and can't go, with whom, when, what and how they can play. They find social interaction difficult and can't just ‘let off steam’ like other children.
