ABSTRACT
Poverty, sexual and physical abuse, family breakdown, teenage pregnancy, homelessness, drug use and a lack of any alternatives, all put a child at risk of being trafficked. Traffickers promise employment in restaurants, hotels and homes but deliver children into all forms of exploitation. Victims often remain silent rather than risk deportation or institutionalization.
