‘Up until recently the people living in Bangkok had to pay more attention to raising their own standard of living. It’s only recently that the people have been able to pay more attention to environmental matters. Without public pressure then politicians and decision-makers will not give the environment its new priority. That is why not enough financial resources have been allocated to solving the problems.’
