This book is about household waste, the rubbish that you and I generate as indi׳ viduals in our homes and which our local council is obliged to collect and dispose of on our behalf. We all know that we generate waste and when we stop to think about it, we feel that something could and ought to be done to reduce or recycle what we discard. However, very few of us actually know what happens to our waste now, let alone what could be done to reduce its environmental impact.
