ABSTRACT

Angola can be divided into 12 biomass classes (see map on p.33) defined by vegetation phenology and productivity. These classes are based on the interpretation of NOAA 7 AVHRR CAC data and previous botanical and forestry research (Coelho, 1967; Huntley, 1974; Menzes; 1971, Monteiro, 1970; Monteiro & Sandinha, 1971).
