ABSTRACT
This chapter presents information on the basic principles of the photometry of materials. A classification of translucent and opaque materials is suggested, in order to help designers choose the most appropriate materials to meet the requirements of their selected daylighting techniques. Then, a short review of new products is presented in order to show recent achievements and potential new directions to follow.
