ABSTRACT
This chapter considers the detailed evaluation of an instructional system. We will assess four ‘moments’ — perhaps better described as four functions — of evaluation at the lesson delivery, or operational, stage:
Context: the climate in which the instruction is given;
Inputs: the resources available for carrying out the instructional plan;
Process: the manner in which the plan is put into action;
Products: the results of instruction.
