ABSTRACT
The primary objective of this section of the audit is to discover what pupils know and understand and how they are progressing. In order to accomplish this task, the auditors must gather the relevant evidence required to compare the attainments of the pupils in the school with those of pupils in similar schools nationally. The key issue here is whether the attainment of pupils at 7 and 11 meets or exceeds national standards, particularly in English, mathematics and science.
