ABSTRACT

This is not a simple matter and it could be said to be a requirement of all of the training undertaken in a school, whether it is to develop security in subject knowledge, to understand more about physical disabilities, medical conditions and inclusion or to have a direct impact on classroom practice. Table 23 suggests some examples of specific areas for review. It is a starting point for discussion by staff on human rights and inclusion, to check the consensus on disability and inclusion issues. It will generate many initial issues, but it is not exhaustive and experiences will suggest many more.
