These are general considerations for pupils with physical disabilities and medical conditions but also for pupils who may be experiencing difficulties related to any form of physical, sensory, medical or social problems interfering with their academic progress. Have you had the opportunity to audit or review the basic requirements of the Code of Practice in your school? Use a scale of 1–7 to rate your school or service in relation to the areas outlined in Table 4. You can use the ‘comments’ column to record why you have given it a high (or low) mark and perhaps discuss with colleagues to see how much you agree.
