ABSTRACT

Children with PWS develop at different rates, and some may arrive at nursery or pre-school classes with significant difficulties in walking and talking. Others will have walked relatively early and/or be incessant chatterers. Many infants with PWS start school in mainstream classes. However, if at the time the child is due to transfer from nursery to infant classes. The child’s developmental age is below five, it may be helpful for the child to repeat the last year in nursery class before moving on to infant school. The input of an educational psychologist is very beneficial at this stage.
