ABSTRACT

Evaluation in design and technology requires children to make value judgements about the worth and quality of their own and other people's approaches and outcomes. In this chapter three aspects of children's evaluation are discussed:

the evaluation of other people's outcomes as a starting point for further design and technology work or to inform the design phase of a project;

the evaluation of their own outcomes and the processes that led to them;

the evaluation of work while a project is in progress.
