ABSTRACT
The key point in this chapter is the changing role of the special school by opening some of its resources to benefit others in the community of schools in the same area. Although there are more formal uses to be explored – including housing a library, an advice and information point, meeting place for parents’ groups, exhibitions and training courses – these are not relevant to this book.
