ABSTRACT
The Feigenbaum number δ = 4.6692016091029909… was discovered by Mitchell Feigenbaum in 1978. It is a universal constant just like e and π (see Chapters E and P). Because of its recent discovery it is not as well known as these other constants, but in years to come it may well feature on your calculator just as e and δ do now.
