ABSTRACT
A language programme may refer to any structured framework that encourages communication development in young children. There are now many published language programmes that may take the form of books or kits. It is helpful if such published programmes are seen as a potential resource, rather than a curriculum to be followed from start to finish with all children that have communication difficulties. Selecting programmes that may prove to be a good resource for the children with whom you are working is not necessarily an easy task.
