ABSTRACT

Namibia is located in the south-western part of Africa. It is bounded to the north by Angola, Zambia to the east, by Botswana and Zimbabwe to the south, and south-east by the Republic of South Africa. The territory of Namibia covers an area of 824,269 km2 including Walvis Bay (112,400 ha), which is still administered as a part of the Republic of South Africa. Namibia covers nearly 3 per cent of the total land area of Africa and contains about 0.2 per cent of the total population of the continent.
