ABSTRACT
Demand for countryside recreation has increased substantially over the last couple of decades and is likely to go on increasing. Woodland visits give great pleasure–people love the outdoor life, the trees, the wildflowers and the wildlife–and woodlands are ideally placed to offer a fascinating range of outdoor interests.
