ABSTRACT
The forms of EMS now implemented in business and other organizations were touched upon in Chapter 4. In the present chapter, an attempt will be made to further articulate our political economics approach with the hope of throwing some light on the more standardized systems, ISO 14001 and EMAS. Environmental management will not only be discussed for business purposes, but for all kinds of organization. The conceptual framework offered claims to be useful even for households and at the level of an individual’s private activities.
