ABSTRACT
The development of the system of night paddock manuring as a farmer response to declining soil fertility, and the chain of innovations that this initial innovation triggered, have been described in Chapter 9. This chapter describes the process of joint experimentation by farmers, development agents and scientists to gain a better understanding of this system and to develop it further, and presents the initial results.
