Throughout this book you have been told how to clear third party material, but as important as getting the clearance is being able to keep track of this clearance. When offers or requests are made it is vital to be able to know what stage of clearance any piece of material has reached. It is important to keep up the momentum of clearance, and to chase up responses in order to ensure clearance is made in time for the project to be produced.
