Citizen-unfriendly notices are common roadblocks to successful public meetings. If you have experienced sparse attendance at your last few meetings, do not hide behind the excuse, “Well, we did what we could to get people to come; they just don't care.” They will care and they will come if you contact those most affected and they understand the purpose of the meeting, what the outcome means to them, how their attendance can make a difference, and the role they are expected to play in the decision-making process.
