ABSTRACT
The Omo River rises in the southwestern highlands of Ethiopia and follows a meandering southwesterly course before opening onto a delta plain and draining into Lake Rudolf (also known as Lake Turkana), most of which lies across the Ethiopian border in northwestern Kenya; part of the Rift Valley region; southwestward of Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
