ABSTRACT
Village at the foot of the Zagros Mountains in western Iran, northeast of Baghdad; approximately twenty miles east of Bakhtaran (ancient Kermānshāh). Name also refers to bas-reliefs carved into cliffs of Kuh-e Bīsitūn overlooking the ancient royal road from Iran to Iraq.
